Our Process

How Spray Foam Equipment Repair Works

A proven, methodical approach refined over 20+ years of professional installation.

01

Equipment Assessment

We inspect your proportioner, hoses, gun, and chemical delivery system to identify wear, damage, or calibration issues causing performance problems.

02

Diagnosis & Quote

After a thorough assessment, we provide a clear diagnosis and upfront repair quote — including parts, labor, and expected turnaround time.

03

Repair & Calibration

We perform all necessary repairs — pump rebuilds, seal replacements, gun servicing, heater calibration, Y-strainer cleaning — and test the system under operating conditions.

04

Verification & Training

After repair, we verify proper A/B pressure balance, heater temperatures, and spray pattern. We also walk your crew through daily maintenance procedures to prevent future issues.

Why Choose Us

Why Our Spray Foam Equipment Repair Stands Out

A spray foam rig is only as good as its maintenance. Pressure imbalances, crystallized pumps, fouled Y-strainers, degraded hose heat, and worn gun components can turn a profitable spray day into an expensive nightmare of off-ratio foam, callbacks, and downtime. At Sky Insulation, we've been operating, maintaining, and repairing spray foam equipment for over two decades. We know the machines inside and out — from the brains and switches behind the control panel to the check balls in your TSL assembly. Whether your proportioner needs a full pump rebuild, your heated hose is showing uneven temperature readings, or your spray gun isn't mixing properly, we diagnose and fix the problem fast so you can get back to work. We also provide preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of your equipment: TSL fluid changes, Y-strainer cleaning, gun greasing protocols, air dryer inspection, proper park-mode procedures, and recirculation scheduling during downtime. These are the details that keep your rig running for years instead of months — and they're the same procedures we follow on our own machines every single day.

Spray Foam Equipment Repair

Minimize Downtime

Every day your rig is down costs you money. We prioritize fast turnaround so you can get back on the job site spraying — not waiting on parts or guessing at problems.

Correct Pressure & Temperature

Proper calibration (900–1500 PSI, heaters at ~118°F) ensures on-ratio foam, optimal yield per barrel, and consistent quality that passes inspection every time.

Extend Equipment Life

Regular TSL changes, gun greasing, air dryer replacement, and proper park-mode procedures prevent premature wear and expensive emergency repairs.

Prevent Off-Ratio Foam

Pressure imbalances, clogged Y-strainers, and worn check valves cause off-ratio spray that leads to failed inspections and costly tear-outs. We fix the root cause.

FAQ

Common Questions About Spray Foam Equipment Repair

We service all major proportioner brands including Graco, PMC, and Glascraft. Our 20+ years of experience covers a wide range of machine models and configurations.

Pressure imbalances are usually caused by clogged Y-strainers, worn pump seals, or air in the chemical lines. We'll check the Y-strainers first (remove, dip in CU-6 solvent, blow out with compressed air), inspect the pump seals, and verify that both sides are flowing and pressurizing evenly.

Change the TSL whenever it gets cloudy or milky. Before refilling, blow out the line with compressed air, clean with a rag, fill to half with fresh TSL, and prime by squeezing the bulb until you see air bubbles moving through — that confirms the liquid is reaching the wet cup.

A good starting point is 118°F for the A-side, B-side, and hose heaters. Adjust based on foam performance — if the foam looks off, temperature is one of the first things to check. Never set heaters above 150°F unless specifically required by the chemical manufacturer.

Turn off chemical flow, relieve pressure slowly and simultaneously on both sides down to zero, then press the park button — this submerges the pumps in the correct position to prevent crystallization and air damage. Keep 350–500 PSI on the lines for overnight storage, then turn off heaters and main power.

Air dryers typically last about two years. They remove moisture from the air lines — moisture contamination reduces your yield (less foam per barrel) and can cause quality issues. We inspect air dryers during every service visit.

Recirculation routes chemical from the barrels through the machine and hose, then back into the barrels. If you're not spraying at least weekly, you should recirculate the ISO for 30 minutes each week to prevent it from crystallizing in the hose. We can show you how to set up the recirculation manifold correctly.

We offer on-site equipment service throughout the Denver metro area. For most repairs and maintenance, we come to you — minimizing your downtime and getting your rig back online fast.
